The 31st cat fight between the Westmoore Jaguars and the Moore Lions took place on December 14, 2018. The rivalry was a must-see game to watch. Although the Lady Jags lost, 76-39, the Jags remained hopeful that the tide would shift in favor of the boys varsity team, as they attempted to get their first win of the season.

Guards, senior Payton G. and freshman Ethan S. would combine to score 22 of the first 24 points for the Jags. Ethan forced two overtimes by hitting two three-pointers: one at the end of regulation and one at the end of the first overtime.

“Ethan did a great job hitting clutch shots in crunch time to get us to double overtime,” said senior Payton G.

However, it proved not be enough as the Jags would fell short to the Lions in a double overtime. The game ended with a score of 84-74, leaving the jags record at 0-5.

“I was proud of the way we battled down the stretch to stay in the game. At the end of it all they outplayed us, but we put up a good fight.” Payton said.
