From the beginning the Westmoore Varsity boys soccer team had a rough start after losing their first two district games to Stillwater and Norman North. The team spent many hours perfecting their starting roster and began to be successful. After defeating Mustang and both rivals, Moore and Southmoore, they had devastating losses against U.S. Grant and Edmond North during their first district games.

With hard work and determination the boys won five district games and advanced to state playoffs for the first time since 2014. As first round of playoffs approached, they were beyond ready to take on Putnam City Original at home. With a score of 2 to 0 the Westmoore boys brought home a win and advanced to the quarter finals. Ready to get redemption on Norman North, the boys knew they had to play as hard as they could. Shocking to most, the team defeated Norman North. After two 10 minute overtimes, the game went to penalty kicks. Finally after a long game, Westmoore scored the game winning penalty kick.

For the first time since 2001 the Westmoore Varsity boys soccer team made it to semifinals and are ready to take on the number one ranked team in Oklahoma before the state championships.
